2014 Lisbon Forum: “Electoral processes and democratic consolidation in the countries of the Southern Mediterranean”
Since it was established in 1994 by the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe, the Lisbon Forum has been a distinctive platform bringing together high-level participants from Europe, neighbouring regions and other continents to share experience, good practice and expertise.
Considering the importance of electoral processes to democratic consolidation, the 2014 edition of the Lisbon Forum, which will be held on 15-16 September in Lisbon, Portugal, will be dedicated to the theme:
“Electoral processes and democratic consolidation in the countries of the Southern Mediterranean”.

This edition will be organised in the context of the South Programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe. The working languages will be English, French and Arabic.
