International seminar on
“Making the European Higher Education Area a Reality:
The Role of Students”
As part of the Russian Chairmanship of the Council of Europe, on 2 – 3 November, the Council of Europe and the Russian University of Peoples’ Friendship organized an International Seminar on the role of students in making the European Higher Education Area a reality.
The Seminar took place in Moscow at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and focussed on key aspects such as students’ participation in higher education governance, the social dimension of higher education, the role of student organizations in the process of change, international student experience of mobility, and the importance of the learning environment.
The conclusions of the Seminar will be addressed to the Bologna Conference of Education Ministers, which will take place in London in May 2007.
