Film Digitisation support
 

The support programme for the digitisation of films ended on 1 January 2011. The last support requests were examined at the Board of Management meeting in December 2010.

Between 2007 and 2010, Eurimages has offered digitisation support for the production of DCI-compliant digital masters (minimum 2K) intended for digital cinema projections, VOD, satellite distribution and high resolution internet distribution. This support was destined for producers of films supported by Eurimages through the co-production support programme. In three years, Eurimages has supported the digitisation of more than 60 films for an amount exceeding € 800,000.

Since 1 January 2011, projects supported in the framework of the co-production support programme, must include a digital master copy for cinema release (min. 2K compatible with DCI specifications or ISO norms on D-Cinema). Thus, the production budget must include the relevant costs necessary for the completion of a digital master copy (see Articles 1.1.6 and 1.9.4).
