Three Eurimages Special Co-production Development Awards supporting 3 Ukrainian projects in the framework of Berlin (Berlinale Co-Production Market, DE), Karlovy Vary (KVIFF Eastern Promises, CZ) and Tallinn (Baltic Event Co-Production Market, EE) co-production markets in 2025:

• THE EARTH IS FLAT - I FLEW AROUND AND SAW IT directed by Maksym Nakonechnyi and produced by Tabor Production (UA)
• IN VACUO, written and directed by Yelizaveta Smith and produced by Tabor Production (UA)
• ALICE WANTS TO LIVE written by Denys Sobolev, directed by Vitaliy Dokalenko and produced by Ganzafilm (UA)

In the framework of the second of the 2024-2026 gender equality sponsorships, three additional bursaries for Ukrainian female filmmakers as part of:

• Le Lab – Femmes de Cinéma (FR)
• Locarno Pro – Step in (CH)
• Woman in Fan – Sitges Foundation (ES)

Partnership with the Ukrainian Institute to fully support the 2025 edition of the proMOTION programme over the three annual calls for projects looking to boost their international promotional campaigns.

In the framework of the first call, two films were supported:

• TIMESTAMP directed by Kateryna Gornostai and produced by 2Brave Productions (premiered in the official competition of the Berlinale before being nominated and rewarded in many events worldwide).
• Queens of Joy directed by Olga Gibelinda and produced by Malanka Studios (Special Mention at the Crossing Europe Film Festival in Linz (AT) and nominations in many festivals among which DOK Leipzig).

In the framework of the second call, three films were supported:

• Silent Flood directed by Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk and produced by Tabor Production (nominated at IDFA).
• My Dear Théo directed by Alisa Kovalenko and produced by Moon Man (premiered at CPH:DOX in Copenhagen before being selected by several festivals).
• Divia directed by Dmytro Hreshko and produced by UP UA Studio (premiered in the official competition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival).

Then two films were supported in the third and last call of 2025:

• Traces directed by Alisa Kovalenko in co-operation with Marysia Nikitiuk and produced by 2Brave Productions (premiered in the Panorama section of the 2026 Berlinale).
• To the Victory! directed by Valentyn Vasyanovych and produced by Forefilms (selected by the Toronto International Film Festival).

Four Eurimages Special Co-production Development Awards supporting 4 Ukrainian projects in the framework of Nyon (Visions du Réel, CH), Sarajevo (CineLink, BA), Tallinn (Baltic Event Co-Production Market, EE) and Les Arcs (Industry Village, FR) co-production markets in 2024:

• FIXING THE WAR to be directed by Vadym Ilkov and Clare Stronge and produced by Moon Man
• TIMES NEW ROMAN by Philip Sotnychenko to be produced by CUC (Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema) and Viatel
• ENGLISH LESSON to be directed by Ivan Tymchenko and produced by Svitlofor Film
• 30 DAYS OF SUMMER to be directed by Anastasiia Solonevych and produced by Bosonfilm

• SONGS OF SLOW BURNING EARTH, by Olga Zhurba (which premiered at the 81^st Venice Film Festival)
• FLOWERS OF UKRAINE, by Adelina Borets (which premiered at the Krakow Film Festival)

In the framework of the third call, two films were supported:

• MILITANTROPOS, by Alina Gorlova
• CUBA AND ALASKA, by Yegor Troyanovsky

• RED ZONE, directed by Iryna Tsilyk and produced by Darya Bassel from the Ukrainian company Moon Man

• THE EDITORIAL OFFICE, by Roman Bondarchuk (nominated for the Heart of Sarajevo in 2024, BA)
• FRAGMENTS OF ICE, by Maria Stoianova (nominated in Munich, Sarajevo and Nyon - Visions du Réel in 2024)
• A PICTURE TO REMEMBER, by Olga Chernykh (premiered at IDFA, NL)

Two Eurimages Special Co-production Development Awards for Ukrainian filmmakers:

• CHERRY BLOSSOMS directed by Marysia Nikitiuk and produced by Igor Savychenko at the Sarajevo Film Festival (CineLink)
• WARRIOR to be directed by Masha Kondakova and produced by Valeria Sochyvets from Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema the TorinoFilmLab

Three bursaries for Ukrainian female filmmakers (two additional bursaries as part of the existing sponsorship agreement with the Nipkow Programm and one extra award as part of the existing sponsorship agreement with the Pop-Up Residency) which respectively went to:

• Hanna Bilobrova
• Tonia Noyabrova
• Maryna Vroda

Support for the promotion costs of two documentary feature projects:

• COMPANY OF STEEL directed by Yulija Hontaruk and produced by Babylon 13 Production
• MOUNTAINS AND HEAVEN IN BETWEEN directed by Dmytro Hreshko and produced by UP UA Studio, selected for the Ukrainian Institute’s proMOTION Programme. The Ukrainian Institute is a cultural promotional body, part of the Ukrainian Ministry for Foreign Affairs

Covering the fees for Ukrainian animator Oksana Kurmaz.

• Oksana is invited to teach during the Sisterhood of Young Animation Auteurs event, a workshop sponsored by Eurimages as part of its Gender Equality Action Plan.

 In addition, the 2022 edition of the Eurimages Co-production Prize at the European Film Awards went to the Ukrainian members of the European Film Academy on behalf of the Ukrainian film production community.
