National and international political priorities in the sports sector (2009) The priorities of the sport sector is the creation of the suitable conditions that give opportunity for the citizens to lead a healthy life style, to be systematically involved in sports, to get access to sport facilities, as well as enhancing the competitiveness of Belarusian sport on the international level.
Organisation of sport in the country (2009) The state regulation in the field of physical culture and sports is carried out by the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Government of the Republic of Belarus, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, the local councils of deputies, executive and administrative institutions and other state institutions within the scope of their authority according to the legislation.
