What do you do?

My work mainly involves backup for the operational departments in applying IT solutions and to assume the role of project manager when a specific development is necessary.

Tell us about your background

I did my university studies in Mathematics and Computer Science. Before coming to the Council of Europe, I worked for seven years in a computer service company as a developer.

What do you like about your job?

What I like best about my work is knowing that the projects to which I have contributed help the operational departments accomplish their mission for the Council of Europe. The computer department is constantly in search of solutions best suited to the Organisation's proper functioning, and this has led me to take part in many projects in diversified technical fields. It's also highly motivating to work in a multicultural and multilingual context.

How do you find living in Strasbourg?

I was born and grew up in Strasbourg. It's a town on a human scale, pleasant and dynamic. It's easy to get around thanks to its public transport system and its many cycling paths.

Final thoughts?

I think I'm lucky to be able to work at the Council of Europe, as it allows me to gain experience in an international organisation in a dynamic, rewarding working environment.
