The European Day on the protection of children against sexual exploitation and sexual abuse was marked by the Council of Europe for the 2nd time. Launched in 2015, its goal is to lift the lid on taboos to help prevent the crime, prosecute the perpetrators and protect the victims.
Drawings and testomonies by children, organised by the INGO ECPAT International and the Council of Europe, will be exhibited between 17 and 25 November (Agora building, Council of Europe).
On 18 November, ECPAT International will convene a Global forum at the Council of Europe for adult survivors of childhood sexual exploitation.
