How does the project work?
  • In close co-operation with the national partners;
  • Through the provision of legal expertise, networking and exchange of best practices with Council of Europe consultative and expert bodies and its Member States;
  • With a tailor-made approach to meet the concrete needs of the country.
What do we expect to achieve?
  • Improvements in criminal procedure legislation and practice;
  • Improvement of analytical and methodological capacities of the justice sector stakeholders to assess the criminal justice’s performance and develop evidence-based criminal policy;
  • Enhanced performance in international mutual legal cooperation.
How much does the project cost?
  •  The total budget is around 510.000 Euros
  • 80% is funded by the European Union and 20% by the Council of Europe. The programme is implemented by the Council of Europe
