The SOGI Unit is organising a one and a half day roundtable on policies to address school violence based on sexual orientation, gender identity/expression and sex characteristics in the education sector, to take place in Venice, on 21 - 22 March.
The event will include the presentation of the recently published report prepared by the Council of Europe in partnership with UNESCO “Safe at School: Education sector responses to violence based on sexual orientation, gender identity/expression or sex characteristics in Europe”, and will bring together representatives of the European Governmental LGBTI Focal Points Network, NGOs and experts from Italy, Czech Republic, Finland, United Kingdom, Lithuania and Malta to share their practices in addressing violence at schools and to discuss about common strategies to be implemented at European and Member States’ level.
