Within the frame of the European Union/Council of Europe Action “Supporting effective domestic remedies and facilitating the execution of judgments in Albania” two comprehensive studies on case management systems pertaining to the Agency for Property Treatment and the State Advocate were prepared.

Given the role the Agency for the Treatment of Property in the compensation and restitution process in Albania, it is of prime importance to ensure that the case-management system of the Agency is fully reliable and effective. The study completed for the Agency for the Treatment of Property will enhance the management of cases and speed up the process of enforcement of final decisions on compensation and restitution of property. In a similar vein, the study completed for the State Advocate identified new IT properties to be included in the case-management system in order to enhance the capacities of the Agency and increase effectiveness of its staff to deal with execution of judgements of the European Court of Human Rights.

The Action “Supporting effective domestic remedies and facilitating the execution of judgments in Albania” is funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe Horizontal Facility programme and implemented by the Council of Europe.
