Over the last 20 years the area of Capannori has gone through a phase of transformation that continues to this day. Thanks to a slow urban and economic development the rural town has become a real city. These changes also involved the population. In fact, since the end of the 90's Capannori started to attract foreign workers who gradually settled raising families and becoming part of the social tissue of the city. Notwithstanding all these changes, the citizens did not lose their sense of solidarity and togetherness which was typical of the ancient rural societies and along with the local administration find the way to integration.
