The CEPEJ is participating in the 10th International Forum on Mediation and Law

The 10th International Forum on ‘Mediation & Law’, organised by the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation in partnership with the CEPEJ, and with financial support from the European Union as part of the ‘CONSENT’ project, opened on 8 June 2026. Throughout the week of 8–13 June 2026, this event will bring together experts, practitioners and public decision-makers to discuss the challenges of mediation and its relationship with judicial systems.

Muriel Décot, Executive Secretary of the CEPEJ, emphasised at the opening of the Forum, before an audience of 750 online participants, the importance of dialogue between legal and mediation practitioners, as well as the need to strengthen confidence in these mechanisms for the benefit of users. The CEPEJ’s various tools relating to mediation were discussed, many of which have already been translated into Ukrainian and widely disseminated in Ukraine.

Throughout the week, the Forum will highlight the growing links between the judicial system and mediation, the importance of promoting a culture of dialogue within society, and the key role of raising awareness of alternative dispute resolution methods.

Discussions will also focus on innovation and the adaptation of mediation practices to digitalisation, emphasising the importance of best practice and the integration of existing fundamental principles in this area. Particular attention will be paid to the protection of vulnerable individuals.
