Meeting of the Current Affairs Committee - 7 May 2021
The Current Affairs Committee of the Congress held a remote meeting on 7 May 2021 and had an exchange of views on "The Future of Youth in Rural Areas" and on the project for a "Booklet for Children on Sustainable Development in Their Cities." The members approved the draft resolution of the report on "The role of local authorities with regard to the situation and rights of LGBTI people in Poland".

The Current Affairs Committee is responsible for exploring the role of local and regional authorities with regard to the major challenges of our society and preparing work on thematic issues such as social cohesion, education, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, youth participation, integration of migrants, protection of children, and gender equality from the point of view of the Council of Europe’s core values.
