Discussion of the New Communication Strategy of the Georgian Bar Association and Recommendations on Improving Effectiveness of its Committees

The Council of Europe Office in Georgia, together with the Georgian Bar Association (GBA), organised a discussion of two documents developed by the Council of Europe international and national experts. The recommendations for improving the efficiency of GBA committees and the new communication strategy and action plan generated high interest.

The recommendations were based on existing statutes of committees, analysis of their daily operation and series of discussions with committee members. The objective of the new communications strategy is to further enhance the image of the association among lawyers and highlight its importance. The strategy also aims at better promoting the role of lawyers in society.

The activity was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Support to the Profession of Lawyer in Georgia”, implemented with the support of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Netherlands, Liechtenstein, Latvia, the Human Rights Trust Fund, and the Fund to End Violence Against Children.
