Switzerland: the Federal Office of Culture hosts a coordination meeting with national managers of the Cultural Routes

On Friday 23 August, a coordination meeting with the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe crossing Switzerland took place at the Swiss Federal Office of Culture in Bern, Switzerland, Member State of the Governing Board of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA) since 2013.

At the invitation of the Office, cultural managers and representatives from 8 Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe attended the meeting: Via Francigena, European Route of Jewish Heritage, Cluniac Sites in Europe, European Route of Cistercian Abbeys, Huguenot and Waldesian Trail, Réseau Art Nouveau Network, Via Charlemagne and Le Corbusier Destinations.

The representatives of the Cultural Routes presented their networks, and discussed challenges and expectations of their projects. Thus, the meeting was an opportunity to get to know and identify areas of convergence, to stress the need to share good practices and reinforce the visibility of the Programme.

Mr. Julien VUILLEUMIER organized the meeting. He is the representative of Switzerland in the Governing Board of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA) and has been elected this year to the Bureau of the EPA Governing Board.
