In order to ensure high quality of the HELP courses, it is necessary to provide HELP tutors with relevant training on the HELP methodology and the HELP e-learning platform.

The purpose of HELP Training of Trainers is to prepare participants to fulfill the role of HELP trainers for their national training institutions. The programme is designed to show how to adapt model HELP curricula to the national legal order and to build own courses using the HELP methodology, model course materials, tools and resources available on the e-learning platform as well as  interactive training techniques. For this, existing HELP curricula are used to illustrate training methodology.

Candidates for the ToTs are selected in strict co-operation with the HELP Network members and other national partners on the basis of their background and professional experience.

Successful participants in the ToT are inserted in a list of certified HELP trainers so that both Council of Europe offices and national training institutions could involve them into national or international activities on the ECHR.

Trainers of HELP distance or blended learning courses are also selected among these experts.
