- Description
- The foundation stone of the Monastery of the Visitation of Mary in Vienna was laid in 1717, on the day on which the future empress of Austria Maria Theresa was born. Founded in 1719, the Salesian Convent in Vienna belongs to the Order of the “Visitation of Mary”. The monasteries of the order are all autonomous and are directly subordinate to the Holy See.
