The Saja Nansa rural development association At the beginning of the 1990s, the new rural development policy promoted by the European Union and the opening of LEADER funds for the whole of the Community territory required the appearance of the so-called Local Action Groups, responsible for managing these funds through mixed entities in which public and private participation was balanced. With this objective in mind, the Saja Nansa Rural Development Association began its activity in 1992, bringing together the efforts of 12 town councils who took on the challenge and responsibility of revitalising and improving the living conditions of their region by seeking and managing public funds.
