Support to strengthening institutional responses to corruption risks in executive institutions and socially owned enterprises

The Action on Countering Corruption and Economic Crime (ACEC) continues to support Kosovo* authorities in their efforts to strengthen institutional responses to corruption risks identified through the Corruption Risk Mapping (CRM) process.

For this purpose, the Action organised two consecutive workshops targeting five largest state-owned enterprises, five central executive institutions and the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC) with the aim of providing hands-on guidance on strengthening institutional integrity by mitigating corruption risks.

Participants were informed on patterns identified during the risk mapping, such as correlations between risk factors and indicators of malpractice, as well as practical mitigation measures tailored to institutional vulnerabilities.

The activity provided a platform to discuss concrete measures for addressing identified risks, by facilitating in-depth discussion on strategic institutional responses and focusing on the development of targeted measures, implementation modalities, and mechanisms for monitoring progress.

The discussions are expected to support the Agency for Prevention of Corruption in strengthening oversight mechanisms, improving mitigation measures and thereby enhancing the effectiveness of corruption prevention efforts.

The activity was organised within the framework of the Action on Countering Corruption and Economic Crime funded and implemented by the Council of Europe.
