8 November, 09.30 - 13.00

Given the rapid growth and sophistication of cybercrime and other offences involving volatile electronic evidence in multiple jurisdictions, the relevance of the 24/7 Network of the Budapest Convention will continue to increase. Meetings of the 24/7 Network of the Budapest Convention provided a good opportunity to share good practices, templates and other tools, with the aim of fostering effective international cooperation. The current responsibilities of the 24/7 Network will expand under the Second Additional Protocol on enhanced cooperation and disclosure of electronic evidence. Further steps and additional capacity building will be need to equip the 24/7 POCs for their new envisaged responsibilities.

The workshop will showcase the framework and practices from various countries in the region and advance the discussions on what would be needed at national level to ensure a smooth integration of the new responsibilities of the 24/7 POC under the Second Additional Protocol.

The workshop is organised by the Council of Europe.
