Within the framework of the project Strengthening Democratic Citizenship Education in Albania, a network of professional teachers TeacherNet was established earlier this year. The network keeps innovating itself since.

On 2 November 2021, an event to discuss how the competences for democratic culture can be better integrated in the primary and secondary school curriculum, took place in Durres. The event is the first in a series of TeacherNet Open Talks. A case study of the subject Literature was presented. This opportunity was also used to introduce the Council of Europe’s Education Department Learning Modules Online (LEMON) that is currently undergoing upgrading.

The participants took this opportunity to discuss the possibility of incorporating the LEMON courses as a part of teacher training and perhaps regular school curriculum.
