This monitoring round was launched on 27 March 2026. It examines the screening procedures employed in the 48 State Parties, the categories of persons undergoing screening, the information reviewed in the screening procedures, and the challenges related to cross-border screening. Findings and recommendations will be based on the information provided by the State Parties and other stakeholders, and discussions in the Committee.

Information from the State Parties in response to the monitoring questionnaire is due by 30 June 2026.

Civil society organisations and national human rights institutions are invited to provide their own information to the Lanzarote Committee, in response to one or more questions of the monitoring questionnaire or other relevant information, by 1 September 2026. By the same deadline, they can also provide comments on the replies to the monitoring questionnaire provided by one or more State Parties which will be published on this page.
