Working together with civil society on supporting the process of full implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights standards at national level

On 28 May 2020, the Council of Europe organised an online seminar for the representatives of civil society organiszations on efficient execution of ECtHR judgments at national level. Participants discussed issues related to working methods of Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, main problems identified in ECHR judgments in respect of Georgia, execution status of court cases and role of non-governmental organisations in the process of implementation of ECHR standards by  providing alternative reports on the protection of human rights to the state institutions. Training participants had the possibility to overview the importance of access to the latest data on execution of ECtHR judgments and functionality of the Council of Europe HUDOC EXECUTION database.

 

The online session was organised within the Council of Europe Project on “Supporting Parliamentary Oversight over the Execution of the European Court of Human Rights Judgments in Georgia”.
