The SOGI Unit together with the Polish LGBT+ Parliamentary Group on Equal Opportunity, will organise a conference entitled “Building Bridges” to advance Human Rights of Polish citizens, irrespective of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and sex characteristics (SOGIESC).
The event, which will also involve the Office of the Polish Commissioner for Human Rights, municipalities and civil society, will highlight positive aspects and developments in Polish LGBTI persons’ lives following the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe’s fact-finding mission to Poland in November 2020 and the subsequent report (also available in Polish) and resolution. The participants are expected to set short and medium-term actions to continue such successes in advocating respect of human rights for all Polish citizens irrespective of SOGIESC.
The event will be streamed online and will begin at 2 p.m.
The event is open to the public upon preliminary registration. Simultaneous interpretation (English/Polish) will be provided.
