Working meeting with the local authorities on the execution of the Kunić judgment

On 28 April, a meeting on how to streamline the execution of the Kunić group judgment was held in Mostar. The latter meeting concerned the non-enforcement of judgments on public work-related benefits. The discussion was attended by representatives of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, representatives of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton competent authorities, and the Acting Agent of BiH Council of Ministers before the European Court of Human Rights.

The main purpose of the meeting was the assessment of already-made progress in the adoption of measures required to fix a long-standing problem of non-enforcement of domestic judicial decisions ordering the payment of salary arrears. This constitutes a major concern on the rule of law perspective and underlines the significant struggles of the state administration.

The meeting was organised under the project: “Initiative for Legal Certainty and Efficient Judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Phase III”, funded by the Kingdom of Norway.
