Law enforcement and forensic staff trained on human rights modules in Bosnia and Herzegovina

A series of Train the trainers sessions for law enforcement and forensic staff in Bosnia and Herzegovina are were organised in order to improve local capacities to deliver human rights based training. The last session took place on 3 and 4 December 2019 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim of this training is to raise competencies in interpreting international human rights standards and applying them in local circumstances so to benefit all persons deprived of liberty, regardless of the length and type of their detention.

The accredited pool of trainers will further develop training materials and deliver training to their peers until May 2022 for the whole duration of phase II Action.

This activity is organised within the framework of the Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey II - "’Strengthening human rights treatment of detained persons based on European standards and best practices ", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
