The Council of Europe Congress of Local and Regional Authorities is inviting local and regional authorities, as well as civil society organisations working in the field of human rights, to apply for the workshop “Human rights in our communities: the role of local authorities”. The focus will be on developing knowledge and skills on the responsibilities of local authorities in fulfilling and protecting human rights at the local level.
The activity will take place on 12-14 November 2025 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Accommodation and meals will be covered by the organisers.
Who can apply?
To be eligible to participate in the activities, an applicant must be:
- a representative of a local or regional authority in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Each local authority can nominate up to two representatives: priority will be given to elected officials;
- or a representative of a civil society organisation from Bosnia and Herzegovina working on the promotion and protection of human rights of vulnerable people.
