The Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo invites journalists and editors from Bosnia and Herzegovina to apply for a training course on reporting on electoral processes.
The training aims to support professional, accurate and balanced media coverage of elections. It will focus on the current legal framework, recent amendments to the Election Law and their implications for media work, as well as the role of media during elections in line with international standards. Participants will also explore ways to address disinformation and strengthen practical skills for reporting on election day.

The training will take place from 12 to 14 May 2026 in Neum. The organiser will cover accommodation and meals for two nights.

The number of participants is limited to 25, and applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additional dates will be considered in case of a large number of applicants.

The training programme will be organised as part of the action “Protecting freedom of expression and of the media in Bosnia and Herzegovina (PROFREX)”, funded under the joint European Union and the Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye”, and the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly project “Supporting transparency, inclusiveness and integrity of electoral practice and processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, funded through voluntary contributions under the Council of Europe’s Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina 2026-2029.
