Twenty-eight judges and legal advisors in Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in a two-day training session on 11-12 November 2024 in Sarajevo on criminal judgment drafting techniques. The training session included practical exercises and focused particularly on rules regarding the operative part of a judgment and the consideration of standards and factors influencing judicial opinions - including the structure of the reasoning underlying a judge’s decision.
These efforts contribute to the continuous professional development of legal practitioners under the Council of Europe’s framework to enhance their ability to apply standards set by the European Court of Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The two-day training session for judges and legal advisors in Bosnia and Herzegovina was organised as a part of the Council of Europe project to support a coherent national implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights and facilitate the execution of judgements of the European Court of Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is funded through the Action plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2022-2025.
