Supporting Development of Capacities and Participatory Approaches to Implementing Integrated Services in Disadvantaged Urban Communities, Including Roma in Romania
The project “Supporting Development of Capacities and Participatory Approaches to Implementing Integrated Services in Disadvantaged Urban Communities, Including Roma in Romania” is implemented by the Council of Europe in partnership with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity in Romania.
The project runs from July 2025 to October 2028 and is part of the Component 1 of the Social Inclusion Programme under the 2nd Swiss Contribution to Romania, which aims to reduce economic and social disparities within the European Union.
The initiative seeks to strengthen the institutional and technical capacities of public authorities to design, coordinate, and deliver integrated community social services in marginalized urban areas, particularly those with a high proportion of Roma residents. It will support the development of a peer-review mechanism in the field and enhance the coherence of strategic and policy frameworks by establishing common methodologies and working procedures for implementing integrated social services across Romania.
