At the end of 2015 the Council of Europe implemented successfully a pilot Roma Political School in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2017, in partnership with Roma-led organisations, it initiated in a Roma Political School in Portugal and Turkey. In autumn 2018, a similar training school was initiated in Italy and in 2019 in Ukraine. Within the present financial possibilities, the Council of Europe will give continuity to the processes already initiated. In 2022 the Council of Europe ran Roma Political Schools in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Kosovo* and the Iberian peninsula (Portugal, Spain) and will encourage similar activities in other countries.
