The 9th meeting of the Council of Europe Dialogue with Roma and Traveller civil society (29-30 October 2020) focused on the implementation of the Strategic Action Plan for Roma and Traveller Inclusion (2020-2025) as well as the COVID-19 crisis and its impact on Roma and Traveller communities.

The meeting:

• presented in detail the Council of Europe Strategic Action Plan for Roma and Traveller Inclusion (2020-2025) and discussed its implementation;
• discussed the role of Roma and Traveller civil society in actively contributing to the implementation of the Council of Europe Strategic Action Plan for Roma and Traveller Inclusion (2020-2025);
• collected proposals on how to further develop co-operation between the Council of Europe and Roma and Traveller civil society and the future agenda of the Council of Europe bi-annual dialogue meetings with Roma and Traveller civil society;
• served as a co-operative and networking platform for Roma and Traveller civil society organisations and other stakeholders;
• served as a platform for developing a common knowledge-base on Council of Europe work in this area, exchanging experiences and sharing best practices on Roma inclusion and COVID-19 mitigation efforts.
