On 7 October, 17 young Roma women and 15 young Roma men were certified following their training with the Roma Political School organised by Democracy for Development with the support of the Council of Europe.
The programme which included sessions on political systems, critical thinking, communication and project conceptualisation among other important themes provided essential tools for young Roma to effectively engage in active democratic citizenship and public and political participation.
The students especially commended the positivity of the trainers.
The training was the beginning of a great journey. It gave me hope for a future in politics. It pushed us to believe that we, Roma youth, can always achieve our dreams if we have the right possibilities”
