Council of Europe in cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory (PwC) has launched the functional and organisation analysis of regional and local prosecutor’s offices in Ukraine. The exercise is carried out in close coordination with the Office of the Prosecutor General and entails conducting analysis of the functions, organisational structure, headcount, workload and working processes in the selected regional and local prosecutor’s offices. The analysis is not meant to assess or audit prosecutors’ work but is aimed at collecting and analysing information in order to develop recommendations for the Office of the Prosecutor General to support the improvement of the working processes in the public prosecution system at regional and local levels in the framework of the reform. The analysis is conducted by PwC in three regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Lviv, and Poltava and is planned to be completed by early August 2020.

The Analysis is carried out under the project “Human rights compliant criminal justice system in Ukraine”, which is part of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2018-2021.
