Back How can we work together toward intercultural classrooms?

This resource engages practitioners in practical activities such as role playing, simulations and games that enable them to understand how to put into practice the didactic principles of interculturalism through the modelling of concrete activities that have been tested on students and educators. Through hands-on experiences, practitioners grasp the basic concepts of interculturalism and intercultural education. Moreover, they become aware of the necessity of promoting a better understanding of the self and others, in their learners, by practicing communication and social skills.

By involving practitioners in analysing and discussing their findings in each of the activities they are provided with a chance to build a mind map incorporating all possible ideas for practical application in their own contexts. This training unit has been developed within the Pestalozzi Programme.
