The Council of Europe’s Landscape Award Forum of National Selections for the 8th Session (2022–2024) took place on 27 June 2025 in Lousã, Portugal. Organised by the Council of Europe together with the Portuguese Ministry of Territorial Cohesion and the Municipality of Lousã, the event brought together over 50 participants.

The Forum celebrated outstanding national initiatives submitted by States Parties for the 8th Session of the Council of Europe Landscape Award. These initiatives showcased exemplary efforts in the sustainable protection, management, and planning of landscapes - demonstrating measurable and enduring impacts on the environment and local communities.

The event also underscored the vital role of public participation in shaping landscape policies and decisions, reinforcing the Convention’s commitment to inclusive, democratic approaches to landscape governance.
