Natia and Shiamoshri

Friendship story

Shiamoshri: "I had just arrived in Batumi from India and I could not speak Georgian yet. I got on the bus with my friends and got lost - I did not know where our stop was. At that time, Natia approached me and offered help. Then, we exchanged numbers to reconnect with each other. 3 years have passed since then. We walked a lot, talked, got to know each other and became good friends! It turned out that we are both open to getting to know each other's culture, traditions or beliefs. It is very interesting when we share thoughts and life moments with each other, we discuss different issues. Natia is a very understanding person. I can call her any time and she is always ready to help me. Over time, Natia also became my emotional support. Since I am very far from my relatives, sometimes I am in a bad mood. When I am sad and miss my family, Natia helps me a lot emotionally

Natia: "Shiamoshri seemed like a friendly person from the very beginning, which is why I decided to get to know her better. In general, I love connecting with strangers, especially with people of different nationalities. Since I was a child, I hated when someone was oppressed. I try to make everyone feel comfortable, especially when they live in my country.

I’ve come to love Shiamoshri for her sincerity. I’ve developed a very open and warm relationship with her. She is always by my side during my difficult moments - when my mother was in the hospital, the entire medical staff remembered the moment when Shiamoshri ran down the corridor to hug and support me. At the same time, we have many friends in common with whom we go for walks, gather at home for fun ... I enjoy Indian cuisine with great pleasure, and Shiamoshri loves Georgian cuisine very much - she never refuses Khinkali. I teach her Georgian, she helps me learn English and Hindi.”
Shiamoshri: "Friendships of people from different cultures and nationalities are very important because it gives us the opportunity to see different aspects of life and meet many interesting people. Such diversity helps us in personal growth. We learn a lot by meeting new people. It’s important that we respect each other’s diversity and accept each other for who we are.”

Natia: "It is very important that a person is not limited. It is very interesting to explore traditions, culture and people of another country! The more diverse our friendships are, the more diverse our lives will be. It is possible to find a good person everywhere. We need to break stereotypes and life will be calmer and more interesting that way."
