On 22 July, a certificate award ceremony was organised in Ankara to mark the successful completion of the HELP online course on Admissibility Criteria by a group of 31 rapporteur judges. Certificates were issued to the successful participants within the framework of the cooperation of the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Justice, and were presented by the Turkish Deputy Minister, Şaban Yılmaz, and the Head of the Human Rights Department, Hacı Ali Açıkgül. The HELP course was implemented in the framework of the HELP in Turkey project thanks to the long-lasting cooperation with the Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).

Furthermore, during the award ceremony a handbook called “The Individual Application Under the European Convention on Human Rights”, written by Linos-Alexandre Sicilianos, President of European Court of Human Rights, and Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou, was presented to Şaban Yılmaz by Hacı Ali Açıkgül.

The HELP online tutored course on Admissibility Criteria was launched in English for the rapporteur judges, who prepare Government observations to the European Court of Human Rights, as well as action plans and reports to the Department of Execution of the Council of Europe, working at the Human Rights Department of the MoJ in the middle of May in Turkey.

31 participants successfully completed the online course at the end of June.
