The publication European Standards for Perpetrator Programmes is now available in Ukrainian

The Council of Europe partnered with the Ministry of Social Policy on 26 June 2025, for a Strategic Session on adapting Ukraine’s Programme for Perpetrators held in Kyiv.

To complement group discussions during this Session, the European Standards for Perpetrator Programmes, developed by the European Network for the Work with Perpetrators of Domestic Violence (WWP EN), were presented and disseminated among participants as an additional tool to raise awareness and enhance the knowledge base on Perpetrator programmes.

This publication prioritises survivor safety and well-being and recognises the importance of integrating survivor perspectives into the work with men who use violence. The Standards define the minimum requirements for safe and effective work with adult male perpetrators of intimate partner violence against their female partners.  Currently, the standards constitute a working document, which means that WWP EN remains in dialogue with partners and will continue to integrate their feedback and additional research findings.

The publication was translated into Ukrainian under the Council of Europe project “Combating Violence against Women in Ukraine – Phase III” (COVAW-III).
