On 17 June 2025, the Council of Europe’s Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) programme and Gender Equality Division launched their newly adapted and translated into Armenian online course on Gender Equality and Gender Mainstreaming targeting wide range of professionals. The launch event brought together 26 representatives from 15 state institutions, civil society organisations, academia and media organisations, who took their first step to participate in the tutored course.
The course has an important role in advancing the newly adopted Gender Equality Strategy 2025–2028 of Armenia. The course aims to foster a shared understanding and practical implementation of gender equality principles across public policies and professional practices.
This online HELP course is designed to equip participants with knowledge on Council of Europe and international standards on gender equality and mainstreaming, and practical tools for integrating gender perspectives into their daily work. It covers key concepts, relevant international and European standards, policy frameworks, and real-world applications-tailored specifically to the Armenian context.
The course is launched as part of the Council of Europe’s project “Ending Violence Against Women and Promoting Gender Equality in Armenia.”
