The new factsheet highlights the links between sustainable development and the protection of human rights, including gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. The Council of Europe work and standards towards achieving real equality between women and men, summarised in this publication, directly contribute to implementing the global Agenda 2030 in Europe.
