The Council of Europe in co-operation with the Ministry of Welfare of the Republic of Latvia are organising an on-line expert debate with Latvian governmental and non-governmental organisations, media, members of the Parliament, with the participation of national and international experts.
The main aims of the event are to:
- present the report “Roadmap for establishing specialist support services for victims of violence against women and domestic violence in Latvia in line with the Council of Europe standards”
- discuss actions to establish specialist support services for victims of violence against women and domestic violence in Latvia in line with the Council of Europe standards
- raise awareness of violence against women and domestic violence and exchange of good practices and experiences of the Council of Europe member states.
The event will take place on 23 April 2021, at 10:00-12:00 CET/11:00-13:00 Riga time.
The meeting will be hosted by KUDO videoconferencing platform with Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (English and Latvian). Participation and observation links will be made available before the meeting.
