4th meeting of the Committee of Experts on Artificial Intelligence, Equality and Discrimination (GEC/ADI-AI)

The Committee of Experts on Artificial Intelligence, Equality and Discrimination (GEC/ADI-AI) is holding its fourth meeting on 7-9 October 2025 in Strasbourg. It is discussing the final drafts of both the Recommendation on equality and artificial intelligence and the draft of an Explanatory memorandum, with the aim of submitting them for approval by the Steering Committee on Anti-discrimination, Diversity, and Inclusion (CDADI) and the Gender Equality Commission (GEC) at a joint session of both committees in November.

The GEC/ADI-AI is a subordinate body to both the GEC and CDADI, and is mandated by the Committee of Ministers to prepare a draft Recommendation on equality and artificial intelligence. It is composed of representatives of member States and independent experts specialised in the areas of artificial intelligence, human rights, equality, including gender equality, and non-discrimination.
