On 17 June, the National Execution Coordinators Network (ExCN) from the Council of Europe member states gathered for their Third Annual Meeting in Berlin, to strengthen cooperation and exchange good practices in the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
The meeting was followed by discussions between ExCN members and the Department for the Execution of Judgments, providing an opportunity to reflect on progress, identify common challenges and explore practical solutions for improving domestic execution mechanisms. The event highlighted the value of cooperation and of shared expertise in supporting the effective implementation of Court judgments and strengthening the rule of law across Europe.
The event was co-organised by the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection of Germany, the Department for Execution of Judgments, and the Project “Support to Efficient Domestic Capacity for the Execution of ECtHR Judgments (Phase 2)”.
