EYF monitoring visit to the international activity of YMCA on youth participation

On 28-30 June 2023, the EYF Secretariat visited the international activity “Know Your Say” organised by YMCA Europe in Berlin, Germany. This activity aims at developing young people’s knowledge on democracy and active citizenship to enable them to effectively influence democratic systems through exercising their rights Through a four-day skills development training, 35 participants gain skills to become more active in their communities, in supporting others to access their rights, and in political processes. The training course participants will develop a mini-action plan to then act as multipliers in their communities. This activity is taking place in the broader context of the 50th anniversary of YMCA Europe.

The sessions included an introduction to the Council of Europe’s priorities, the Youth sector and the opportunities provided by the EYF.    

This activity was supported by the EYF as part of its international activity grants.

 Join us for the Digital Open Desk every Wednesday afternoon from 14:00 to 16:00 CET in September 2026 (2, 9, 16, 23, 30 September). The EYF team will be online to answer questions from youth organisations about the EYF Calls for proposals, project implementation, reporting, finances, and more.
