On 15 September 2025, the project partners of the Centre for Preventing and Countering Education Fraud gathered in Rome for their first induction meeting, held in hybrid format at CIMEA – Academic Equivalence Mobility Information Center.
The meeting addressed the Centre’s objectives, outlined initial activities, discussed communication and visibility plans, and agreed on practical next steps for its development.
As the first initiative of its kind, the Centre represents a pioneering effort to address education fraud at both European and global levels. By building partnerships across institutions, networks, and countries, it aims to strengthen integrity in education and provide innovative responses to challenges that transcend borders. The meeting marked an important step in paving the way towards the Centre’s establishment and its role as a hub for cooperation and expertise.
The Centre was launched under a Memorandum of Understanding between the Council of Europe and CIMEA on 26 June 2025.
