 About the project

The project 'ESIF' is designed to help NEET young people aged 16-24 into employment training or education and is funded by the European Social Fund. Its programme is broken down into seven weeks to manage the intake of young people and aims to target 10-16 youngsters per cohort. Within the 7-week period young people are engaged in employability activities that allow them to set goals and achieve them through our support. The goals should be relating to pathways into employment, education or training. Once their goals are established, young people get support in reaching those goals through workshops such as CV building, confidence boosting, practice interviews, job applications and learning about their generic working rights.

Each day an hour of sport is incorporated into the programme for young people to engage in a different method of self-esteem boosting and leadership skills, skills which transcend into the workplace. In addition to all of this, 12-month aftercare is offered to the young people to ensure they sustain employment. Therefore, in case they leave employment they can come back to receive support, but more importantly they get supportive hand through the transition from NEET to employed.
