On April 18, 2024, the Second Conference of the Ukrainian Network for the Recognition of Foreign Qualifications (UaReNet) convened, marking a significant milestone in advancing best practices in recognition of foreign higher education qualifications in Ukraine.
The event brought together international, national, and regional leaders, as well as stakeholders from various sectors, including the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, ENIC Ukraine, and higher education institutions (HEIs) – members of the UaReNet Network, to discuss the enhancement of recognition processes in Ukraine.
During his opening speech, Villano Qiriazi, Head of the Council of Europe's Education Department, underscored the organisation's unwavering support to Ukraine amidst the ongoing Russian military aggression. He notably praised the remarkable resilience and dedication of Ukrainian education practitioners, emphasising the importance of fair recognition of qualifications and commended ENIC Ukraine’s initiatives. 
The Council of Europe proudly supported the ENIC Ukraine’s project “UaReNext – Development of the All-Ukrainian network on the recognition”, which expanded the national network of UaReNet evaluators, produced diverse informational materials, and provided extensive support to credential evaluators.
