The Monitoring Group of the Anti-Doping Convention carried out a survey aimed at examining the current and potential impact of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Pandemic on anti-doping programmes within States Parties. 48 of 52 States Parties to the Anti-Doping Convention submitted their replies. The results were analysed and a summary prepared by Dr Michael Petrou (Chair of the Monitoring Group) and Ms Margarita Pakhnotskaya (Co-ordination group member) with the support from the Secretariat is attached as the document T-DO(2020)19. The survey is intended to provide an overview of the current situation and identify critical shortcomings. This is not a study based on scientific or statistical methodology. The results are only indicative and cannot be used to measure compliance with the Anti-Doping Convention. The data collection period was from 27 April until 4 May 2020 (with the exception of 3 countries who replied later). This summary reflects the situation in this period only and the situation may have already changed since then. The Monitoring Group will consider repeating the survey to assess the developments of the pandemic impact later this year.
