- Description
- Varnhem Cistercian Abbey was founded in 11483 by the monks of the Cistercian Order of Alvastra Abbey in Östergötland (www.cister.net/abbayes/fr/255/varnhem). Nowadays, only the Abbey church remains standing, surrounded by the ruins of the ancient complex.
